One of our best-selling camera bags. The same size inside as the Hadley Small but with additional ‘pro’ features such as a top handle. Will fit a small to mid-sized DSLR or compact system (mirrorless) camera and 2-3 small to medium lenses. Made in England with 3-layer waterproof fabric and real leather.
Hadley Small Padded Insert with Divider Set (Olive) 1x Padded Insert, 2x Large (Vertical) Dividers, 2x Small (Flap) Dividers
Hadley Small Pro Front Straps (Tan) Pair
HP Shoulder Sling (Khaki Webbing / Tan Leather / Brass) 38mm wide
The flexible padded insert is made from dense, fabric covered, 'closed cell' foam and provides impact protection on all sides, including the lid. Like the bag itself it is flexible front-to-back to allow it to fit slightly bigger gear than its dimensions suggest.
2x vertical dividers and 2x horizontal flap dividers are included and can be attached anywhere inside with Velcro®.
It can also be removed to turn the bag from a camera bag to a casual messenger bag in seconds.
A weatherproof zipper on the back pocket helps give extra protection to travel documents and other important items held there, as well as providing handy access without needing to open the main compartment of the bag.
The front dump pockets are perfect for cables, film, spare batteries and those little bits and bobs you want to keep separate, whilst providing great extra storage space.
On the top-outside corner of each pocket is a pop-clip. Release this to expand the space available. Keep it closed to form a perfect place to clip pens, pencils etc.
The space between the padded insert and the back of the bag naturally creates a thin extra pocket, this will fit an 11" iPad.
Please note this section is only padded on one side so you may wish to use a slim case.

The Hadley Small Pro features a shoulder sling that can be adjusted longer or shorter to suit your height and shooting style.
It can also be completely and easily removed in seconds if you would prefer to carry the bag using only its top handle.
It is made from strong shuttle woven polyester, top-grain leather and solid brass.
The leather front straps have the 'Quick Release System' feature – just lift the top of the strap up-and-over the brass clogball for quick access to the main compartment.
The buckles allow you to fine tune the 'fit' of the front pockets. You don't need to use the buckle to open the bag. The sculpted top flap helps prevent rain, snow or unwanted fingers getting into the main compartment.
It is made of the same 3-layer waterproof fabric as the rest of the bag.
An easy carry top handle is reinforced with fibreglass and has leather on the underside to allow you to pick up and carry the bag with comfort, without using the shoulder sling.
Attach your camera bag safely to your suitcase when travelling through a busy airport or city.
Optional AVEA 7 End Pockets can clip onto the strong leather side panels at either end of the bag. These can add storage or help with organisation to keep everything easily accessible when you need it.
The discrete styling of the Hadley Small Pro means that it doesn't look like a camera bag – ideal for travelling without drawing attention.
As a slim bag it's naturally flexible, moulding to the body of the wearer and helping weave through crowds.

The Hadley Small and Hadley Small Pro have the exact same internal padded insert and can therefore carry the same amount of equipment.
The difference between the two camera bags is that the Hadley Small Pro has added features that should make it even better for many professional photographers and demanding enthusiasts.
The minimal external dimension differences are due to the top handle, shoulder sling fixings and the leather side patches giving the ability to add AVEA 7 End Pockets.
The Hadley Pro 2020 is simply a bigger version of the Hadley Small Pro, sharing exactly the same features.
The Hadley Small Pro is compatible with AVEA 7 End Pockets. The Hadley Pro 2020 is compatible with AVEA 7 and AVEA 8 end pockets.
An example of the difference in size between the two camera bags; the Hadley Small Pro is capable of carrying a Canon 5D with a small to medium lens attached, plus a second column with two small lenses stacked on top of each other. The extra height and width of the Hadley Pro 2020 would let you have a third column where you could carry a 70-200mm lens as well.

What are the main differences between this and the Hadley Small?
The Hadley Small Pro features a top handle (with leather on the underside), removable shoulder sling, luggage strap on the back and a pocket on the back. The Hadley Small is exactly the same size internally, just without these additional features.
What is the difference between this and the Hadley Pro 2020?
The Hadley Pro 2020 is simply a bigger version of the Hadley Small Pro.
Does this use the same padded insert as the Hadley Small?
Yes it does - so the internal capacity of this bag is the same as the Hadley Small (even though the outside dimensions are slightly different).
Please bear in mind that the 'Hadley Small' and 'Hadley Original' look the same in photos but are different sizes - something to bear in mind when considering an upgrade. If looking for an upgrade to the Hadley Original check out the Hadley Pro or Hadley Pro 2020.
Does this use the same front straps as a Hadley Small?
No, the Hadley Small Pro uses smaller front straps and they are also unstitched. The Hadley Small front straps are bigger and are stitched around the outline.
You can find the Hadley Small Pro Front Straps here - double check that you buy the correct colour to match your bag!
Can this bag fit a 9.7, 10.2 or 10.5 inch iPad?
Yes, whilst there isn't a dedicated laptop or tablet slip inside the Hadley Small Pro, any of the iPad's above will fit in the back of the bag between the padded insert and the rear inside of the bag. This area will not be padded, however no one has reported damage to their device from placing it here. If you wish to put your iPad in a case here for protection, it will need to be a very slim case in order for it to fit in this section.
Please also bear in mind that placing a device in this section may push the bag out slightly on the edges, therefore we recommend choosing a FibreNyte version of the bag as this will help to reduce the risk of wear.
Do the buckles make the bag slow to get into?
No, you don't use the buckles to get into this bag. The buckles are only designed to occasionally adjust the front straps in height or to allow you to pack a little more or less into the bag. We recommend keeping the straps inside the buckle during normal use and only using the 'Quick Release Straps'.
For frequent usage, Hadley Front Straps are opened by sliding the top of the strap off the brass clogball (round stud). This is a very quick way to open and close the bag, many people learn to do this one-handed as the leather softens.
You can keep the bag itself open whilst shooting, just don't put the straps back on the clogball until you want to close bag.
Does this bag need re-proofing to keep it waterproof?
No. The fabric is made of 3 layers - the middle layer is butyl rubber. Water cannot pass through this butyl rubber layer. As long as you don't get a hole in the fabric or expose it to harsh chemicals (for example in a washing machine) the fabric should remain waterproof for many years. There is no need to apply re-proofing.
What is the difference between 'Canvas' and 'FibreNyte'?
In simple terms ‘Canvas’ or ‘FibreNyte’ refers to top layer of fabric on our bags – the facecloth.
‘Canvas’ is a mix of cotton and polyester. ‘FibreNyte’ refers to our face fabric that is completely synthetic. Canvas is hard wearing, FibreNyte is very hard wearing.
Both fabrics are bonded to a non-wicking polyester backing fabric with a middle layer butyl rubber – this rubber layer makes both fabrics equally (and very) waterproof. Water can’t get through that rubber layer.
Both fabrics have a similar weave - the FibreNyte looks similar to canvas. Canvas is slightly softer to the touch, FibreNyte is slightly rougher to the touch.
People tend to choose Canvas if they want the bag to age gracefully and look vintage over time. This is particularly true of people who choose our ‘Khaki Canvas’ fabric as this looks particularly lovely as it ages.
People tend to choose FibreNyte if they want the bag to look newer for longer or if they are particularly hard on their gear - for example by carrying the bag to work with them every day, doing a lot of hiking or filling it particularly full. If you are buying a black bag it’s particularly worth considering FibreNyte as it will stay looking blacker longer. Also Sage FibreNyte is particularly attractive as a colour – it’s probably the most popular colour among our staff!
Which shoulder pad fits this bag?
The 'SP15' and 'SP40' sizes both fit this bag. The 'SP15' has more grip whereas the 'SP40' has more padding. For most customers we recommend the SP40 shoulder pad.
Remember to select the correct colour for your bag!
Do I need a shoulder pad for this bag?
The shoulder pad isn't essential but can stop the strap from digging into your shoulder if you are carrying heavy equipment inside the bag or carrying it for long periods. It can also reduce the chances of the bag slipping off your shoulder if you don't wear it across the body. Remember only the 'SP15' and 'SP40' sizes fit this bag. Buying it with the bag will save the postage cost of buying it separately later.
How do I buy the 'Sage FibreNyte with Camo Front' colour?
The 'Sage FibreNyte with Camo Front' colour combination was available only to those who pre-ordered on or before the 22nd September 2019. Some retailers may have limited stocks remaining but it's getting very rare now!
Does this bag have a removable padded insert?
Yes this bag includes a removable padded insert. You can take the padded insert out if you aren't carrying cameras to turn the bag into a great casual bag.
Which end pockets fit on this bag? How do they attach?
AVEA 7 End Pockets fit on this bag - other sizes do not fit.
On the back of the AVEA 7 are two leather straps - they thread down through the leather side panels of the Hadley Small Pro. For extra security metal pop-clips then clip to hold the leather straps in place at the bottom.
